Finally got the plans today

Building a Cruisette boat

I have decided to build a boat instead of buying one. The plans that I am going with are called the Cruisette and it was designed by Glen-L.

I will be using resources from Glen-L such as their forum and boat building books to complete this project.

Nothing major has happened so far, I received the plans in the mail as well as a copy of the Boatbuilding with plywood book by Glen L. So far I have picked up 10 2x4's which will be used to make the building rig, 40 Board feet of White Oak which will be used for the frames, and some various tools including a band saw.

The project will probably go fairly slow as I will be buying additional materials every few weeks when I can, next I need to order all of the hardware such as screws, nails, fasteners, etc as well as the epoxy/filler to use as glue.

The outline for Frame 1 has been done but I have not cut it out yet as I want to make sure everything lines up perfectly.

Here are some pictures so far.
